Infrastructure Systems Manager

Outbox is seeking for an infrastructure and web systems manager who will participate in the deployment and monitoring of the infrastructure supporting the Outbox ticketing platform. The manager will be responsible for a team of 3 to 4 people (System administrators and IT support).

What You Will Do Daily

You will work in a Linux environment (80%) and Windows (20%) hosted mainly in our data centers and partly on AWS. This is to support our transactional tools for high volume online ticket sales. You will use the best available tools to guarantee an optimal performance and reliability of our servers as well as our network infrastructures.

Your Primary Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the administration of an infrastructure with servers hosted in our data centers and on AWS;
  • Schedule tasks with the team;
  • Ensure the follow-up of different projects;
  • Prepare and execute an evolution plan for the infrastructure in place;
  • Solve networking and system administration and hardware problems;
  • Participate in the delivery of projects via production (deployment/migration);
  • Provide support to international clients and to internal infrastructure;
  • Participate in the 24/7 rotation of the IT team.

Required Experience:
  • At least 3 years in server administration;
  • Experience with the management of router, firewall and switches (Cisco and HP);
  • Experience with virtualization systems (Proxmox, an asset);
  • Experience with VPN IPSec and Anyconnect (Cisco ASA);
  • Experience with Linux operating systems (Centos/Redhat) / Windows;
  • Experience with high volume web systems (haproxy, CDN, load Balancing);
  • Experience with storage systems (SAN);
  • Asset – Experience with AWS;
  • Asset – Experience with Docker and Ansible;
  • Asset – Experience with Nagios, LDAP, SQL Server.

Required Skills:
  • Completed university studies in engineering or any other relevant field;
  • Bilingual (English/French);
  • Ability to work under pressure;
  • Ability and interest to work with emerging technologies;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Autonomous, resourceful, flexible and structured.
